Community Governance Ensuring the value of your investment for generations to come

Coppersmith Cove Waterfront Community is governed by a mandatory Home Owners’ Assoication and protected by covenants to ensure the quality and aesthetic integrity of homes constructed within the community. Buyers may choose any builder they desire, or, alternatively, Coppersmith Cove Development Company, LLC will be happy to make referrals to local builders and/or perform a build-to-suit on any available home-site. Generally, the covenants have been designed to allow buyers latitude and flexibility in the design and construction of the home of their dreams.

The full text of the Protective Covenants may be downloaded below, but the following represent the covenants’ requirements with respect to the most frequently asked questions:

  • Homes must be a minimum of 2,000 finished sf.
  • Most exterior materials are permitted, except that vinyl siding and metal siding may only be used as accent materials.
  • There is no requirement that construction begin within any specified time period. Buyers may defer construction for as long as they desire; provided, however, that once construction begins, it must be completed within 1 year.
  • Gravel driveways are not permitted.
  • Log homes are permitted with the approval of the Architectural Review Committee.
